A  Siphendulwele Primary pupil passes on

A grade 7 learner at Siphedulwele Primary School in Emalahleni has passed on, the Mpumalanga department of education has reported. Her passing was on July 24.

The preliminary report indicates that the learner collapsed in her classroom during the first period of the day. Despite the immediate actions taken by her teacher and the support staff, who promptly provided assistance and called for medical help, the learner was certified dead upon arrival at Siphosensimbi Clinic.

Lindi Masina,the minister of education in Mpumalanga,shared her sorrow with family,the school and friends of the deceased.  The department shares the pain and sorrow that such a loss brings  to the family, school, classmates, teachers and the entire school community,” Masina comforted in a message.

“Officials from the inclusive education and wellness sections have been deployed to the school,” a statement from the department said. The said officials will work closely with the School Based Support Team to provide necessary counselling services for learners, members of the staff and everyone affected by this loss.”

“The department once again, takes this opportunity to extend its heartfelt condolences to the family, relatives, friends and the entire school community,” said the minister. “May the soul of the departed rest in peace,” she added.
