Life rewards action, not intention – The Quest for Personal Discovery
A man was stranded on an island. He prayed earnestly for God to save him.
A few minutes later, a boat spotted him. “Come, let’s take you to safety,” they shouted.
The man replied, “No, I’m waiting for God to help me.”
Two more boats came. He turned them all away with the same answer: “No, I’m waiting for God.” Days passed. The man died of hunger.
When he arrived in heaven, he asked God, “Why didn’t you help me?
And God said, “I sent three boats to save you, but you refused to get on.”
His intention was sincere — he was truly waiting for God. But his prayer required action. He had to move. Good intentions are good, but without action, they are meaningless.
Every year, people make resolutions. Very good intentions: losing weight, starting a business, writing a book. If you don’t act, you will end up calling resolutions “fake” — simply because you failed to act.
I must emphasize: taking action does not guarantee a positive outcome. But you will never know until you act.
Our minds are wired by what we feed them. If you don’t take action soon, your mind will stop giving you creative ideas because you have proven you won’t execute them.
Remind yourself: time is valuable. You are not getting any younger. Any positive idea that lands in your mind might be your breakthrough calling.
Take action. Then wait for the results.
