THE WEEKLY STUDY PLAN
Be ready for the exam process-start preparations now
Preparing study material for exams is an active process. This is where you identify, organize, and consolidate your material. A well-planned timetable helps learners manage their time wisely, balance different subjects, and avoid the stress of last minute studying. It’s easy to talk about making a study timetable, but putting it into practice and sticking to it can be a different story. You also have to end up with a study guide, flash cards, concept maps, and practice test questions.
Therefore, today you are being guided through an easy example of a seven day revision plan, so that you can compare with the one you have, or make amendments to what you already have. You will also have an example of a checklist to help control the daily activities.
Revising for exams does not involve passive re-reading or re-writing your notes.
It means coming up with something new so that you identify what you still don’t understand and get your questions answered. Reviewing the material you prepared helps figure out how much you actually know and how much you still have to work on.
You can do this through ‘blank page testing,’ quizzing yourself or a friend, or taking practice exams.

Important tips:
- Make sure to allocate time for every subject you will be tested on (number of chunks).
- Allocate more time for difficult subjects.
- Make sure you know which time is best for you to study. (Night owl or early bird, and do the difficult chunks then).
- Make a list of subjects and write the dates of exams; it will help when you allocate the study chunks. First come first served.
- Exercise discipline and consistency.
- Avoid procrastination.
- Avoid long hours cramming; it will cause you last minute anxiety.
- Switch off your phone.
Cheers. Stay healthy, clean and of sound mind.
