Mothusi Primary to celebrate mothers and daughters in Women’s Month

Mothusi Primary School is organising a mother and daughter tea occasion as part of their half century celebrations this year. In preparation for this prestigious celebration of 50 years in industrious education, former learners  have organized a mother and daughter tea occasion on the 9th August  to be held at the school. The time is from 9 in the morning.

Dr. Seipati Baloyi, a former learner at the school and now attached to the University of Free State, said the aim of the mother and daughter high tea occasion is not just a social event, “but a nurturing experience that strengthens emotional ties between mother and daughter. The aim is to reinforce positive identity, and to create lasting memories between a mother and a daughter.” Baloyi said the occasion is  a gentle but powerful way to celebrate the mother and daughter bond.

Baloyi said former learners are in a drive to raise funds for the school to secure functional apparatus and amenities for the school. “The school needs a functional library,” she said. “We would also like to build a fully-equipped computer lab as well as to install solar panels and have a functional borehole,” she added.
