GRATITUDE - The Quest for Personal Discovery
My all-time devotion is this:
“God, grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change, the courage to change the things I can, and the wisdom to know the difference.”
*Gratitude is the ability to see how far we’ve come.*
It’s a thankful attitude toward the bigger dream — even while we’re still building it.
There are people who had dreams for today but didn’t wake up this morning.
There is someone, right now, praying for the life you are living today.
The culture of giving thanks is often practiced only at the end of the year.
People count their blessings in December.
I advocate for giving thanks _every day_.
Be grateful for breathing. For being healthy. For still being able to dream.
Here’s the truth: *we do not attract what we want, we attract who we are.*
And thanksgiving is proof that you have already gained something. A grateful heart recognizes gain, even before it arrives.
*Today, the focus is on you.*
Give thanks for waking up in this cold weather.
Give thanks for writing your homework and assignments.
Give thanks for showing up — in more ways than one.
So go ahead. Give yourself a pat on the shoulder and say:
*“I’m grateful.”*
