Time? The Quest for Personal Discovery

Time is ticking, and they say wasted time is gone forever. Yet, many of us, especially young people, live as if we have an endless supply. We forget we’re living on borrowed time. As Dr. Miles Monroe puts it, “The greatest tragedy in life is not death, but life without a purpose.”

Time is more than just a clock ticking away; it’s a measure of our past, present, and future. Effective time management requires strategy and planning. Break it down: monthly, weekly, daily. Your integrity is tied to the promises you make to yourself. Plan ahead, prepare, and make the most of your time.

Dr.Xaba says, “An opportunity of a lifetime must be seized within the lifetime of an opportunity.” Don’t put off what could change your life. Time management isn’t about being rigid; it’s about making space for what matters, including fun. Prioritize tasks, focus on the critical ones first, and leave room for spontaneity.

You can’t control everything, but with a plan, you can focus on the big picture. Ask yourself: what’s my purpose? This question will help you discover your gifts and talents. Surround yourself with people and conversations that fuel your passion and purpose. As someone wise said, “Sit at the table where the discussion is about purpose, passion, and money.”

Your environment shapes your productivity. Create a space that inspires you to tackle your goals. Eliminate distractions, set clear boundaries, and make time for self-reflection.
